Garden Fence Mural

I’d love to start putting in applications for mural projects, so I’ve been working on a few smaller projects this summer to build my mural portfolio.

This commission came in from a really lovely lady in town who wanted flowers on her fence, requesting Poppies and some kind of Kansas City Chiefs incorporation.

I went on a hike to take some reference photos of wild flowers in our area, and also took pictures of flowers that I saw on walks. The entire design is original and done by myself! I decided to do the KC logo on an arrowhead using the coloring of the rocks in the area that I hiked in. I wanted it to look like a boulder sitting amongst the flowers, hopefully I achieved that for anyone else looking at it!

This was an exceptionally fun project to do, and I’ll be posting a more in-depth article on the process on my blog.

Review from Gayle D.

Taryn was wonderful to work with! I shared my ideas and what I was envisioning, and I absolutely love what she created. She was very respectful of our space and cleaned up every day. Taryn communicated with me throughout every step of creating the mural, making the entire process so enjoyable.

I love seeing my beautiful flower fence every morning when I open my curtains.

Thank you, Taryn, for bringing my vision to life!
