For Christmas of 2023, I asked my mum for ideas for her Christmas present. She said that all she wanted was for me to draw something for her.

This drawing concludes the end of a very long creative hiatus for me. My college years were very demanding, and I lost my artistic drive for a while there.

I drew this about a week after seeing some high school friends for the first time in years. They were disappointed to hear that I hadn’t been working on my art, as they were all working on creative, inspiring projects of their own. Reconnecting with my pre-university self on this trip brought me back to drawing.
